Hiking Conundrum Peak is a fantastic adventure. Many people choose not to climb it, as it doesn’t meet the 300-foot prominence rule to be considered an officially ranked peak. Nevertheless, it’s a great fourteener that’s often included as it has an official name. This Conundrum Peak Route Guide is for the easiest way of the mountain, though alternatives do exist to summit both peaks in one day. If you have a 4WD vehicle available, make sure you use it to drive to Conundrum Peak. You can shave off a significant portion of the hike if you can reach the end of this rough mining road.
You should also take some time to visit 14ers.com and read through their route description. It is the best resource available to train and prepare for this ascent.
