About The Next Summit

We fill a critical gap in the outdoor recreation ecosystem, preventing accidents and land impacts by leveraging digital marketing strategies tools and tactics.

The Next Summit started out as a blog in 2019, when I saw dozens hiking into a thunderstorm on Longs Peak, completely unaware of the danger they were in. Since then, it has grown into a mission-driven organization with 35+ members conducting free training, running awareness campaigns, and disseminating free resources, all while advocating for the mountain community.

The Next Summit approaches our work collaboratively, working with partners like the Colorado Mountain Club, Leave No Trace Center, and the Colorado Fourteeners Initiative to conduct research, share information, and advocate for mountain access, safety and conservation. All of this work is funded by our advertising revenue and the generous support of our members and supporters.

Learn more about our work below and consider supporting us or joining our team here. Thank you for visiting The Next Summit!
